#806 Price not updating with option selection

Hi,

I am using J"Commerce 6.3.3.1 on Joomla 6.1.1.

I have created a product of type Variable, and created three versions of it (i.e. three different capacities, each having a different price).

The product displays perfectly in the J2Commerce Products module; when an option is selected using the dropdown button the price shown updates to match the option selected.

However, if I click on the product in the J2Commerce Products module and open it in the main page the price shown on the main page doesn't update to match the option selected using the dropdown button but the price shown in the J2Commerce Products module does change to match the option selected using the dropdown button on the main page.  The dropdown button in the J2Commerce Products module then no longer updates the price shown in the J2Commerce Products module.

To recreate the issue follow these steps.

1. Open the website https://www.willboonhypnotherapy.co.uk

2. Click the "3 Marsh Euro Capacitys" (spelt wrong) text under the Marsh Euro Tank product in the 2Commerce Products section.

3. Use the dropdown box which is then displayed to select a capacity option.  The price of each option will be displayed correctly. 

4. So far, so good.

5. Now click on the image of the Marsh Euro Tank or the text, to open the product in the main page.

6. The product is shown displaying the default option.  Use the dropdown box on the main page to select a different option.  The price on the main page doesn't update to reflect the option selected.  The price shown for the Marsh Euro Tank shown in the 2Commerce Products section does change however.

7. Now go back to the Marsh Euro Tank shown in the 2Commerce Products section on the right.  Use the option dropdown there to select a different option.  The price shown in the 2Commerce Products section is no longer updating for the option selected, whereas it was doing in step 3.

Is it possible, in step 6, to make the price change to reflect the option selected?  Otherwise customers are being expected to add a product to their cart without knowing the price of it.

Any help with this would be greatly accepted.

great walk through, thank you.

I think one problem is having the module showing an item that is already showing on the page. That makes little sense for a user to change options in the module if the product is on the page. So I think we need to remove the product that shows on the page out of the products from the module. 

That will fix the issue where the javascript gets confused about where values are modified (the product of the page or the product of the module). Still, we need to address those conflicts, but it would be already reduced if the same product was not showing on the sampe page twice.

As far as linking the module to the product page, we are not passing of parameters to the product page, while it is done correctly to the cart. That is why there is no 'synchronization' between the 2.

There is no change to be done on your end, we will address those issues on our end.
