Hi, I’m finally setting up the ‘Add to user group’ app. I see that the user notification email isn’t using any of the pre-configured templates – why is that? How can I customise it?

Antonio,
no email is initiated from J2Commerce when adding to a user group in the 'Add to user group' app.
If you get notifications, they are triggered through the Users Joomla extension.

Yes, sorry, it was a zero-value order with no payment, and I hadn’t set up this notification option yet.
I’d like to take this opportunity to ask if there’s any way to add a specific message when a particular product is ordered? Or perhaps a separate notification just for that product.

the functionality your are asking for is not coming out of the box, a plugin would need to be created to handle this kind of use case.

Thank you Olivier. Is it possibile to add product details (joomla custom field, SKU, UPC/EAN/JAN/ISBN, intro text, intro image...) into J2commerce Email Templates?

Antonio,
you can add J2Commerce custom fields to emails (Setup -> Custom fields), that is all what you can do additionally to all the available fields.
Product fields, like SKU, are part of [ITEMS]. You can find more information at https://docs.j2commerce.com/design/email-templates (for instance, how to override items).

Olivier, in the end, by overriding orderitems.php, I managed to add the content of a Joomla custom field to the order confirmation email.
