Hi, I've just purchased the Advanced Checkout for J2 Commerce. I'm following the instructions shown below… https://docs.j2commerce.com/advanced-checkout/advanced-checkout-guide/#requirements

However, when I reach the part for creating the Advanced Cart Module, things don't look the same on my end. On the module tab, your screen capture show Loading Indicator, Store Menu Link, etc. My module doesn't have these settings (see attached screen capture).

I'd previously installed the detailed cart and I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. Please advise.

I still need a solution to this issue, but please don't change anything related to the live store if you log in as I need to launch this site and am working to make things functional for now.

You can disregard the original request. I've sorted this out and configured Advanced Cart and Advanced Checkout to work properly.

Two questions though…

I can't seem to figure out why guest checkout isn't clearly visible during Advanced Checkout. I can checkout as a guest as long as Allow quick new user registration is turned off which removes the password feilds, but I'm no longer greeted with the option where I can sign-in as a registered user or continue as guest. I'm thinking that may actually be how this now works… the user has to click Already have an account? Log In to get the login pop-up where they can create an account.

If that's the case, I'll adjust the language so it reads "Create an account or Log In to an existing account".

Also, after Stripe processes the payment using Stripe Checkout (at least while in test mode), it returns to "The requested page can't be found." I've addressed this by creating a redirect in Joomla. This worked for now because the return error page seems to be consistent. What's the correct way to get this to function though?

Thanks for keeping J2 going!

Olivier

Great John,

I am glad you got this configured.

We have patched an issue with guest checkout (probably the same issue as yours, you can turn on 'debug' in Joomla to see what the error actually is).
We will release a patch soon, we still have to check why it created that issue in the first place.

Having said that, we have improved Stripe and you may want to look at the 'inbuilt form' option of the Stripe plugin, which gives you a more integrated form with all the same payment options that Stripe checkout offers.
I like it better personnaly, as it does not 'leave' the site to return after payment. It's all integrated.

Olivier.
