Hi Together;

Paypal is not wiorking anymore and they found out:

PayPal has checked and determined:After reviewing the transaction details, the request failed with the error INVALID_ACCOUNT_NUMBER (422 – Unprocessable Entity). Although your PayPal account itself is valid, the problem lies in the way the integration is connected to PayPal.Your checkout request was processed via the Store plugin (BN code J2Store_SP), which uses an older Website Payments Standard (WPS) integration method. However, your PayPal account has already been migrated to the new platform (DOEC), which no longer supports this outdated WPS process.Due to this technical incompatibility, the PayPal system was unable to link the order to your account, resulting in the error message INVALID_ACCOUNT_NUMBER.

Hope it can be fixed

 All the best Angie

Hi Angie, which PayPal add-on are you using in J2Commerce?

Paypal Standard for J2Store

Thank Oliver

Olivier

Angie, I forgot to ask if you could give us credentials so we can check your configuration as the PayPal plugin works for us. You can edit the ticket and add credentials, it won't be visible to anyone but us. Thanks!

Thanks for the credentials, Angie. However, I don't seem to be able to log in with them. Can you check? Thanks!

Olivier.

Hello everyone, sorry, my apologies. It should work now. Please check Mattermost.

Hello Angie,

I have gone to both sites.

I would have said that the http://www.tao-yoga.com was probably not working at its best with J2Commerce as you have 4.0.1 of J2Store installed. We made a huge amount of under the hood changes and fixes since then, even the PayPal plugin as been updated.

Have you tried payments on http://shop.tao-yoga.com/ with the new version of J2Commerce?

I do know that platforms do not accept payments when sites are insecure (none of the sites is under https). You are probably losing ranks with search engines just because of that. But you are probably already aware of it.

I double checked the PayPal payment, and this is one of the payments we are using on our own site at j2Commerce.com. And it is working properly.

So when I compare your configurations and ours, all seems ok, except:

  • the 'check credentials' button does not return anything. It should give you feedback 'All Ok' when credentials go through properly (because of the https missing?),
  • We do use alternative 1, but that is probably not why you got the message from PayPal,
  • we do validate IPN.

I would suggest you turn on 'debug' in the plugin. This will allow you to get detailed logs of what is going on. You will find those logs in /cache.

That could give us more hints on what is going on. But probably the firdst step is to get SSL certificates.

Hi Oliver,

  •  I add a SSL certificate on shop.tao-yoga.com
  • I enabled debug.

Result: Nothing changed:

  • Click on check credentials -> nothing happend
  • cache-> no error logs
  • Paypal send us szill back

Is the reason the new platform (DOEC) platform?

Tanks for caring Angie

Olivier

Ok. Angie.

I went to the shop site.

I manually ran the url that is supposed to check the connection when clicking on 'Check credentials'. It returned 'success'.

You don't see the results of the check because there is a javascript error (jQuery is missing on the page - it is an issue we did not see before - so it will be fixed in the next release).

Since we know credentials are ok, the next step is to make sure you update the callback URL at PayPal since the path is no longer the same after applying the SSL certificate. PayPal will only 'work' with one of the sites, not both.

Please let me know what URL you have used at PayPal (since I cannot see your configuration there).

Olivier.
