I've connected my store to Stripe and made a purchase which went fine.
a different buyer gets a J2Store_Authentication_Required error and cannot make a Stripe payment.
what do you suggest I do to debug this one?

This is a J5.3.3 site, J2Commerce 4.0.16, Stripe plugin v4.0.3.

Hi Chris,
do you have debug enabled on the plugin? If so, you should have logs in the /cache folder.
You should also be able to see what happened at Stripe if the error comes from their end. Have you checked your Stripe account?

Hello there, Olivier.
Many thanks for your suggestions. I didn't have debug enabled on the plugin at the time when this issue happened, so there's nothing for me to check right now. However, I have indeed looked in my Stripe account and I can see the error is repeated—and would appear to be related to the "Payment declined by customers' bank".
The Stripe error message says "The bank returned the decline code authentication_required".
Reading into this, this is authentication between the card holder and the bank (as opposed to Stripe and the card holder). I've passed this back to my end user for them to talk to their bank about the issue.
