Greetings,
I was a fan of J2Store but cannot make the new versions work with Joomla 5.x
Error upon install: Call to undefined function get_magic_quotes_gpc() and same error when trying to uninstall.
Any ideas to remedy are appreciated.

Hello Gina,
it looks like you have several versions of the f0f library installed on your site and this needs a cleanup. This is a required step when moving a Joomla 3 site and using Akeeba products (it is part of the update).
So, I suspect this is the problem, since old f0f libraries have the et_magic_quotes_gpc() issue.
J2Commerce is launching one of the old libraries on uninstall (the first one found and obviously not the right one).
Please add your credentials to this ticket so we can fix it for you or you can try and run Magic Eraser (https://www.akeeba.com/download.html#magiceraser-joomla) on your own.
Once the issue fixed, re-install J2Commerce (you'll have to do it anyway to install the correct f0f library and be able to uninstall) and give it another try :-)
