I have actually spent a bit of time on this one. I thought we would be able to add the 3rd party link in the download link field, but there are too many security checks to remove that it would make your site open to all sorts of security risks.

The good news however is that reviewing the code, there are places we can tie into that would allow us to create another plugin for 3rd Party Downloads which would allow you to add those links and have those links appear in the email template as well.

I understand why the previous developers set up the downloads the way the did, but I am not sure why didn't provide an opportunity for 3rd Party Downloads as well.

I will add it to the list, but realistically, I wouldn't even be able to look at it until mid May.
