"Minimum Order Restriction" works to restrict the price or quantity, at a general level.

Having in context a website with retail and wholesale prices (40% off, minimum quantity 6 units), which only applies to people who register in that user group, how do I configure this app for only this user group? Since if the "Minimum Order Restriction" app is active, it also restricts the minimum quantity to retail purchases.

Thank you very much in advance

It occurs to me that Minimum Order Restriction could be configured for user groups and by tag, so it is not necessary to hide a menu from a category in the store. Regarding the function of restricting by category, I see that it is not working.

Jesus,

Many of my own clients are manufacturers so they sell to both resellers and end customers.  If you wish the minimum order restriction to be limited to only users in the reseller user group for example, all you need to do is change the access level for the plugin itself to match the reseller's user group and it would only affect users in the reseller group.  I also use this method on certain payment options for resellers (such as Net 30 , or shipping options such as facotry pickup, which would be available to resellers but not retail customers.  Hope this helps!

Thank you for your prompt response, what I want to present is that from the frontend, end customers can buy in 2 ways, with small quantities, and certain products at a differential price but to access these prices they must buy at least 6 units (not necessarily of the same product).

Examples of purchases

1. anyone can buy 1, 2 or 3 or any quantity of any product.

2. certain products have a 40% for a user group (wholesaler) but they must buy at least 6 units, not necessarily of the same product, you can buy 3 units of 3 different products with these discounts and 3 units of another 3 different products without these discounts. But to access these discounts you must register and be within the wholesale group which is the default registration group.

For this, what was done was to configure certain products with 40% off that affects only the wholesale group, which was configured in "set advanced prices, (attached image)", and has the label "wholesaler" (attached image)

A hidden Wholesale menu was created that shows products with the wholesale label enabled only for the wholesale user group, and a system URL menu was created that points to this hidden Menu so that when entering it requests access data and whoever wants to see prices must register as a wholesaler. (attached image)

Now when the "minimum order restriction" app is configured and I select the "wholesaler" category, it sets the minimum for all products and for all user groups, meaning that someone as a guest or a casual buyer cannot make a minimum purchase of 1 product (attached configuration image).

Buyers are not resellers, they are only quantity purchases.

Jesus,

It sounds like what you are really needing is the bulk discount plugin which lets you set different price levels they buy quantities within certain ranges (can be set on the product level or global level) ,you can also set it to only calculate the discount if they buy only the same bulk product or total number of items in the cart (regardless of whether it's the same item or not).

I understand your suggestion, the issue of applying discount coupons or massive discounts, is that they will only see the price of each product when they get to the cart and put the coupon.

At first glance in a sale when you see the final product already with the price that will be billed you have more probability of sale.

Attached is an image of how the prices look when entering as a wholesale user, in which they show the price to the configured user group (I also attach an image).

The "Minimum Order Restriction" App is a perfect complement, only I do not want it to be applied globally, but only to the selected user group. It is a perfect complement.

Can I help in something to implement in the sales presentation part?

Or j2commerce has some complement that I am not seeing that could be useful to be used at the user group level and present the final price with the discount before adding to the cart?

Will the "bulk discount" app, which has the option to configure by product or globally in the store, be updated to the latest version of j2commerce? Thank you very much.

JESUS PEREZ ANTONIOW

Hi, I can't find the "Bulk Discount" app.

It's in the documentation:

https://docs.j2commerce.com/j2commerce/apps/bulk-discounts

But I can't find it for download.

Can you help me find it? Thank you very much.
