Everybody will be able to see its contents. Do not include usernames, passwords or any other sensitive information.

I have created a configurable product with a configuration option of color - see on the staging server :

This works well - but the email that goes to admin and to the user does NOT include the color - then email templates have not been changed from the default and I think they should be showing the options.

I tried taking a look in the back end, but the credentials don't appear to be working - can you recheck them? There was an update in the last release that fixed that issue however to make sure we didn't automatically replace existing email templates with the updated version, you will need to click the Sync Core Emails at the top of the Email Tempaltes view to load the updated email templates. You can use the test view tab of the confirmed email to see if the options appear - if not, then I will need to take a deeper look otherwise that should fix the issue for you.

The credentials should now be working - this is our test server. The firewall was being a bit too active :)
I have tried to sync core emails but it does not seem to have made the options appear.

It looks like the update servers for both the migration tool and the core j2commerce component were disabled on your site so you were never notified of the latest release. I thought this was the reason you weren't seeing the options in the email but discovered a small bug in the process that prevented it from showing in the emails so I have already updated it and it will be availalble in the the next upcoming release - as long as the update server is not unpublished :)
