#379 Add to mailing list on order and two other queries

I've a feeling there used to be an option in J2Store (or an app?) to add new customers to a mailing list platform like MailChimp or a-n-other.

Is that still there, or was it an app that has yet to be updated?

Also, for pay by invoice, are we able to email that invoice to a customer if we add a manual order instead of them making a purchase - and is there a payment link generated within the system we can either send them as part of that?

Lastly, can we print packing labels from the backend? My memory from a past client on J2Store, I think, was that we perhaps created a custom report, however I also have memories that we did this differently. Thoughts welcome :)

We have one for ACYmailing but still trying to figure out their new API changes which would add a user to specific mailing lists. I can build additional ones if you email me login creds to those 3rd party email systems. We have Klaviyo already built out and about to release as well.

I believe the partial payment app that Olivier is finishing up has that feature so I can look into a payment link option, although the email cart app could also be modified slightly. I'm on holiday on your side of the pond in Denmark but will look deeper into this when I return on the 10th.

I usually use shipstation, however with their recent price increase to $100/mo for API access, I can see a need for labels specific to the shipping carrier and we should have a packing slip option as a Design option in J2...

Thanks Adam,

I don't have credentials now, but it's good to know this type of feature may be coming - I had an enquiry today wanting to link orders/customers with a CRM, maybe we will need to do that ourselves if they go ahead.

They just wanted to be able to print a shipping label, not link with a shipping provider (we're UK based). I'm sure I did this with a J2Store site in the past, maybe we just edited the order email so it was printable like this format.

I envision a default packing slip template (similar to the invoice and email templates in Design) that can be edited in a similar manner. Would the shipping label essentially include the company logo, ship-from address, and customer name/ship-to address, with the actual tracking number/label added by the shipping carrier used afterwards?

I think this is an important aspect to e-commerce, so I would love to make something that people can use regardless of their shipping carrier...
