Hi Adam,

Following our discussion on Support Ticket #233, I would like to inform you that I have spoken with my client and he said he uses the Simplyfy Gateway of the National bank Of Greece (https://www.nbg.gr/en/business/banking-products-services/standing-orders/e-commerce-services/i-bank-e-simplify-for-e-payments). I did a lilltle research and I found out that there are no plugins for j2commerce. However the bank provides  some php scripts that can be applied on the website so as to make a payment with the card.

Can you please guide me how to proceed?

Kind regards,

George

George,

Is this the gateway your client uses?
https://www.simplify.com/

If the answer is yes, then their developer documentation looks pretty straightforward. What I would need from you is to create a set of api keys to use (preferably in sandbox mode) so we can build the J2 payment plugin to connect to that gateway.

Once you are able to send the API keys, we should be able to knock this payment option out pretty quickly. (Do not post them in here - rather email them to support@j2commerce.com)

What is the delivery date on your client's site?

Hello Adam,

Thank you for your reply.

My client uses this gateway https://ibanknbg.simplify.com/commerce/login/auth however I think that this is the same implementation as the one you provided, but tailored for the National Bank Of Greece.

Given these details, I can indeed create a set of api keys in sandbox type from the gateway and share them with you.

I have to deliver the site by the 14th of April.

Kind regards,

George

Hi Adam,

I have sent the requested API keys to the provided email address.

Kind regards,

George,

I have a working version of the Simplify Payment app and can test without issue using the sandbox creds you sent over. I just tried sending a real payment through using the existing api creds in the account and it looks like the account is not enabled for API-based payments. Assuming they have been using the hosted version.  Can you have your client contact their account rep and ask them to "Enable SDK/API-based payments for our account."

This is a better experience for the user at checkout and there's no chance of any order status' being missed if it doesn't catch the webhook on the backend.

(You may just be able to hit your go-live date after all)

Hi Adam,

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly with a working version!

I am sure they use the hosted version as this is clearly stated above the generated sandox keys. -> tick.png Hosted Payments Enabled

I will have to get back to you tomorrow though, as the client's account rep is closed for the day.

Kind regards,

George

Hi Adam,

I just spoke with the client's bank and they told me that they cannot enable the SDK/API-based payments as this feature is not available for Simplify.

Please proceed with hosted payments only.

Best regards,

George

George,

As you can see from the support pages the bank provided, they would not have 90% of thier documentation focused on the SDK and Api if they didn't offer it. It sounds like you may have gotten somebody who gave you the easy answer instead of the right one.

I won't be able to take another look at this until early next week, so to hit your go live date, I would try again to talk to somebody that can enable it if possible.

Hi Adam,

Thank you for your reply.

I spoke again with another person from the bank's e-commerce dept. He initially proposed that my client moved to another product (e-enterprise) that has all the bells and whistles enabled by default.

However, after discussion, I convinced him to enable the API based payments.

Given that, please kindly proceed with the tests (real payment etc) at your earliest and inform me accordingly.

Kind regards,

George

George,

Great job! I had a sneaking suspicion that you would be able to pull it off if additional pressure was provided :)
Testing later this morning.

Hi Adam,

I have been testing again and again but I am still receiving the error Operation Not Allowed when checking out.

The staff on the are not so helpful.

They even told me that Joomla is not supported!

I hope we can find the issue that keeps j2commerce from negotiating with the bank.

Kind regards,

George

George,

I am closing this ticket as I believe we have resolved the issue with Simplify Payment :)  Please don't forget to leave us a 5-star review in the Joomla JED...
