Question.
Does the Uses per customer require the purchaser to have an account or can guest check-out work and it registers the usage per email?

That's a great question and the answer is for guest customers that are not logged in, it checks the email address so the same guest customer with the same email could only be able to use a coupon code once if the coupon settings were configured that way.
