Real-World Use Cases

One terms item, restricted to the EU geozone, shows a soft link disclosure only to shoppers whose address falls inside it. Everyone else checks out without ever seeing a disclosure that was never legally theirs to read.

A furniture maker starts production the moment payment clears. A required checkbox, placed right before payment, reads: "I understand this item is built to my specifications and cannot be returned once production begins." Every customer explicitly accepts before the deposit is charged.

An alcohol or cannabis retailer needs a legally meaningful age confirmation. A required checkbox — matched against the billing address to respect region-specific purchase-age rules — appears right after billing: "I confirm I am 21 years of age or older and legally permitted to purchase these products in my jurisdiction."
