Currency

Let shoppers pick the currency they trust.

A storefront switcher lets each shopper pick the currency they think in, and the exchange rate behind it refreshes on a set schedule to stay current.

One product price tag that switches between dollars, euros and pounds as the small currency-switcher control beside it changes selection.

Local Pricing

Prices shown in each shopper’s own currency.

Shoppers see your prices in the currency they think in, so every visitor knows exactly what they will pay before they reach checkout.

  • 80%

Of subscription sales in 2025 still showed only one currency, so offering several sets yours apart.

    Stripe, 2026

  • 94%

Expect to pay in their own local currency.

Currency Switcher & Rate Feed

Currency switcher, rate feeds and formatting controls.

A site-wide switcher and a scheduled rate feed keep prices current in every currency you offer.

  • Currency Manager

Add every currency you sell in, each with its own symbol, format and decimal rule, from one admin screen.

  • Storefront Currency Switcher

A module on your storefront lets a shopper pick the currency they think in, wherever your template places it.

  • Five Rate Providers

Pick one of five providers to refresh your rates on a schedule, so today’s order is always priced at a current rate.

  • Full Formatting Control

Symbol position, decimal separator and thousands separator are set per currency, so a price reads the way that market expects.

The rate updates on a schedule, so you don’t have to remember it

A scheduled feed keeps every currency priced fairly for you and your shoppers, so the rate behind each price stays current without a reminder in your calendar.

  • Enable a currency once, and the switcher module picks it up on your storefront on its own
  • Frankfurter is the default provider and needs no API key or account
  • Prefer to set rates yourself? Leave the rate updater off and type each rate in the Currency Manager
  • Every currency keeps its own symbol, decimal separator and thousands separator, so a price reads the way that market expects

Going Further

Payment gateways that settle in local currencies.

Card gateways in the Payment Methods category settle in a shopper’s own currency too, once you’re ready to accept it directly.

Multi-Currency Payment Gateways

Many gateways in the Payment Methods category can charge in more than one currency, so the price a shopper sees is the price they pay.

FAQ

Questions about currencies and exchange rates.

No. A currency switcher module lets the shopper pick their own from the currencies you’ve enabled; nothing is guessed from their location.

On the schedule you set, pulled from the provider you pick. Frankfurter, the default, needs no API key.

Yes. Leave the rate updater off and type each rate in the Currency Manager if you’d rather price a market yourself.

Not with Frankfurter, the default provider, which needs no account or API key. The other four providers ask you for an API key from their own sites.
