European Card Payments. Every Stage. Zero Portal-Hopping.
PAYONE for J2Commerce handles the full payment lifecycle — authorization, capture, void, refund — directly from your store's admin. Two integration modes. Three authorization flows. Subscription auto-renewals. Proper EU/SCA support.
Everything Your EU Checkout Actually Needs
Two ways to take payment. Three ways to authorize. Admin-level control over every step after checkout. PAYONE for J2Commerce doesn't just handle the click — it handles the whole lifecycle.
Hosted Checkout Page
Customer redirects to a PAYONE-hosted payment page, enters their card, returns to your store. Card data never touches your server. PCI compliance at its simplest level — SAQ-A. The right default for most Joomla ecommerce stores.
Hosted Tokenization (iframe)
A secure card-entry form embeds on your checkout page — customers never leave your site. Card data is tokenized by PAYONE. This mode also enables saved cards, so returning buyers check out in seconds.
Pre-Authorization Mode
Reserve funds on the card without charging. Fulfill the order, then capture from the admin when you're ready. If something falls through, void the hold. No charge, no refund, no awkward customer conversation.
Admin Capture — One Click
Pre-auth sitting on an order? Open it in J2Commerce, click Capture. Funds collected, status updated. No PAYONE portal, no transaction ID lookup, no switching tabs.
Full and Partial Refunds
Click Refund on any captured order. Choose the full amount or enter a partial amount. PAYONE processes it. The refund is recorded on the order. You never leave J2Commerce to handle a return.
Saved Cards for Returning Buyers
Logged-in customers save their card token at first checkout. Every return visit, they pick the saved card and pay. No re-entry. No friction. The kind of checkout experience that makes people actually come back.
Subscription Auto-Renewals
Subscriber pays with a saved card. When renewal day comes, the stored token is charged automatically. No customer action. No renewal link emails. No "please update your payment method" campaigns. Your subscriptions run themselves.
HMAC Webhook Verification
Every payment notification from PAYONE is verified with a signature before any order is touched. Forged events are rejected before they do anything. Real events process correctly. Your order data stays clean.
Geozone and Order Value Gating
Restrict PAYONE to buyers in specific regions. Set minimum and maximum order subtotals. EU buyers above your threshold see PAYONE. Everyone else doesn't. Your checkout stays relevant for every audience.
Authorize First. Charge When You Ship.
Custom orders. Pre-orders. Items that need verification before fulfillment. Pre-authorization mode lets you reserve funds on the customer's card without collecting them. When the order is ready, click Capture in your J2Commerce admin. If something falls through before that, click Void — the hold releases, nothing is charged, and the customer never sees a refund they didn't ask for.
- Reserve funds without charging the customer
- Capture from the J2Commerce order screen when ready to ship
- Void and release the hold if the order falls through
- Authorized status separate from paid status — your workflow, your rules
Subscriptions That Renew Without Anyone Lifting a Finger
When a customer checks out in Hosted Tokenization mode and saves their card, that token stays on file. When a subscription renewal fires — a week, a month, a year later — the stored card is charged automatically. No customer email. No payment link. No "oops, your subscription expired" customer service ticket. The renewal runs. The revenue continues.
- Card token stored at first checkout
- Renewals charge the stored card automatically
- Works with the J2Commerce Subscriptions add-on
- No customer action required after the first payment
Refund From the Order Screen. Full Stop.
No portal login. No transaction ID lookup. No copying and pasting between systems. Open the order in J2Commerce, click Refund, choose full or partial, confirm. PAYONE processes it. The refund amount is recorded. Order status updates if you've configured a refund status. That's the whole workflow.
- Full refunds in one click from the J2Commerce order view
- Partial refunds with maximum refundable amount shown
- Refund accounting tracked on the order record
- Optional automatic status change when refund is processed
Real-World Use Cases
Your EU Checkout. Fully Wired.
Two integration modes. Three authorization flows. Admin capture, void, and refund without touching a payment portal. Subscriptions that renew on their own. Everything the EU payment lifecycle demands — none of the portal-hopping it used to require. Seriously.
