This is where it gets actually useful:

Per Category: Charge the rate once, regardless of how many items from that category are in the cart.

• Customer buys 1 book: $5 shipping
• Customer buys 7 books: $5 shipping
• Perfect for categories where shipping cost doesn't really change with quantity

Per Category Item: Charge the rate for each item from that category.

• Customer buys 1 heavy item at $10/item: $10 shipping
• Customer buys 4 heavy items at $10/item: $40 shipping
• Perfect for categories where each item actually adds shipping cost

Mix and match. Books get "Per Category" (one flat fee). Heavy Items get "Per Category Item" (charge per piece). Same plugin. Same checkout. Different logic where it matters.

Step 4: Optional - Add Geographic Rates

Shipping to California costs different than shipping to Germany? Cool.

Add another row with the same categories but a different Geozone. Set a different price. The plugin matches the customer's address to the right rate automatically.
